Having completed most of my training in the United States, I have been professionally trimming since 2006. Over the years, I have developed a special interest in horses suffering from laminitis issues. Following a scientifically recognized treatment protocol, I have had the privilege to successfully rehabilitate many horses from founder.
My approach combines a revised nutrition plan, a short trimming cycle and the use of boots and cushions or composite glued flexible shoes. I encourage a teamwork approach, involving various therapists (massage, acupuncture, laser, nutrition and veterinary care).
I am constantly pursuing my education by spending many hours learning through reading. In order to keep abreast of the latest scientific research, I also participate each year in advanced clinics on anatomy, trimming, laminitis, nutrition and other subjects related to horse health in general. You can consult a list of the professionals who have helped me along my career path at the bottom of the page.
My second passion is teaching. I encourage my clients to become more involved in providing, at least in part, some of the trimming care for their horses. I have now teamed up with Maia Chaput from Metta Equus. Together, we are working on developing our workshops to help horse owners.
Based in the Rigaud region, the majority of my clientele are in southwestern Quebec. I can also travel to other regions to provide training or consultations.
